General Information
The IFALPA Positive Safety Culture Course is intended for all parties involved in the development and implementation of a positive safety culture. The course builds on safety management fundamentals to understand the benefits and practical methods to implement or improve a Positive Safety Culture, developing the Safety Management System beyond the basic regulatory framework.
Participation in the course is suited to:
- Pilot members of an IFALPA Member Association (MA) intending to be a “Positive Safety Culture champion” of their MA.
- Pilot representatives participating in their operator’s Safety Action Group (SAG) or safety committee.
- Other SAG participants, such as: Safety Managers, and Regulatory personnel involved in the oversight of safety management on behalf of Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAs).
Course Facilitators will lead course participants through the core principles of safety culture, how safety culture can be changed, best practice to create a positive safety culture, and how to measure safety culture. Participants will be guided through real world examples to enforce the concepts and relate them to aviation. This will enable the participants to influence and support the positive safety culture for the organizations where they work.
The course involves two days of instruction and discussions of Positive Safety Culture which culminate in simulated practical exercises.
Course Fee: $80 USD*, includes coffee breaks and lunches.
